Our brave Junior Scouts recently embarked on an exciting adventure at Rowallan Camp in Nairobi! From August 30th to September 1st, 2024, five of our young explorers, accompanied by the ever-enthusiastic Teacher Hellen, set out to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Day 1: The Journey Begins
Our intrepid scouts departed from school at 1:40 p.m., their eyes sparkling with excitement. After a scenic journey, they arrived at Rowallan at 5:00 p.m., ready to start their adventure. The evening was filled with:
- Settling into their new surroundings
- A delicious supper to fuel their adventures
- An informative briefing by Mr. Charles, the camp leader
With full bellies and heads buzzing with anticipation, our young campers tucked in for the night, dreaming of the fun to come.
Day 2: Action-Packed Adventures
The second day was a whirlwind of activities that got our scouts’ hearts racing:
- Hiking through Rowallan Forest: Our young explorers discovered the wonders of nature up close.
- Sight-seeing: They took in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
- Swimming: A splash in the pool was the perfect way to cool off after a day of adventures.
As night fell, the excitement continued with a magical bonfire. Our scouts sang, laughed, and created memories under the starry sky.
Day 3: Celebrating Achievements
The final day was all about recognizing our scouts’ hard work and bravery. In a special ceremony, each scout received:
- A well-earned certificate
- A shiny new badge to proudly display on their uniform
With hearts full of pride and bags full of new experiences, our scouts bid farewell to Rowallan at noon. They arrived back at school by 2:00 p.m., where they enjoyed a well-deserved lunch before heading home to share their amazing stories with their families.
